Vicki Lalonde joins us to discuss Edgar Rice Burroughs’s “Back to the Stone Age”, damsels in distress, messages of empathy, shedding the bonds of the civilized world, the power of friendship, Barsoom, slavery as a plot device, large megafauna, fighters with six-shooters, foreshadowing villains, and much more!
Awesome episode, guys – I was actually at that Burroughs convention last year, where Vicki ran a session of Modiphius’ John Carter of Mars. She’s a great GM.

Another great guest. I hope she will give “At the Earths’ Core” a try some day. Jeff, your question about guns opens a big can of beans for me. You should revist it on Barsoom and the Venus books. My feeling in the Pellucidar series is the books with fire arms are less fun than the ones where the hero is left to his Stone age weapons.
