I love how he name-dropped John Brunner. ‘Stand on Zanzibar’ was deeply influential book in my development. I’ve also been thinking about D&D ruining fantasy novels, and have finally given myself permission to stop trying to read Forgotten Realms novels. Never enjoyed a one.
